Adios razor blades...

Ahhh...the inevitable hair loss has begun. It's one thing to know it's going to happen, and another thing for it to actually start. I guess it was Thursday or Friday when I noticed that there was very little hair growth from shaving my legs the previous day. I'm just slightly obsessed with having smooth legs and I ABSOLUTELY must shave with my skintimate gel and a razor every day. It's part of my relaxing shower routine! So it was slightly disheartening when I didn't really have to do it Friday, or today...but I did it anyway (out of habit mostly). Then last night there was some major hair loss...I guess the best way to put it is this way- the loss has started "south" and is moving "north". My friend Wendy said it best- chemo does not discriminate hair follicles, it ALL falls out. So I know that in the next few days all my hair will be saying ~Sayonara. She said that when she lost her hair it starts with a few strands one day, and then a bunch on your pillow the next day and then it comes out in clumps and looks like a rat....and then it's time to shave it off.

Update- So it's Monday and my hair is slowly falling out. I woke up today with a sore scalp...kinda like when you wear an updo all night or a tight ponytail and take it down. My hair just comes right out if you lightly pull it...easy for getting those greys that have plagued me since pregnancy!

Sure! You know Mike doesn't have hair and he still uses shampoo...never really understood that but, hey! it needs to be washed! I hope I can stop by soon to say hello. Lori
