A few weeks ago I was up in NYC and spent some time in the Garment District. I really had to restrain myself from buying too much- NYC fabric prices are ridiculous!! Sure- you can find a sateen abstract floral print from Italy, or an extremely hard to find Michael Miller fabric, but the experience of shopping in tiny storefronts with fabric crammed floor to ceiling is just awesome.
