I stumbled across this Etsy shop a few weeks ago and was enchanted...seriously. I kept going back to the shop over and over and over, I made Mike look at everything in the shop, and then I kept looking more and more just trying to decide what to buy first! They offer barrettes, bows and clippies for everyone...from those with the littlest wisps of baby fine hair to those with a full-on mama-mane.
I finally made my choices and ordered a few things from littlelesiw. First was a "Steal of the Day" set of Girl's Best Friend Clippies for Lilly. Hey- a deal's a deal!:
It included 2 sets of 6 barrettes (that's 12 barrettes!) that have a special grip strip to help keep them in place. Let me tell you- they are unbelievable. Rachel's craftsmanship is impeccable and they are honestly the most beautiful clips I have ever seen. Lilly's face lit up when I showed her the new barrettes that came in the mail. She immediately wanted the pink and green ones in her hair. They are adorable, can be worn righty or lefty and STAY IN!
The other set I ordered was actually for me. Since I decided to "pin the wig" (click to read that crazy blog post), I've been looking for some pretties for my "hair". So I ordered a set of Dupioni Silk Blooms.
Ummm....I don't know what to say. I LOVE them! Mike was hanging the new curtains and roman shades in our bedroom when I opened the box of barrettes and I literally RAN upstairs in total excitement to show him. That was a huge feat considering my legs felt like jell-o, the chemo fatigue was in full effect and I could hardly wake up from napping, or get out of bed / off the sofa all day. THAT'S HOW EXCITED I WAS. I couldn't wait to put on my wig so I could wear one of my new Blooms! I love how they lay flat to my "hair", the size is perfect and they are appropriate for kids and adults! Awesome!!!
So thank you littlelesiw for not only making the BEST hair flair, but for totally making me smile!
